A demat account or dematerialized account is an account which allows investors to hold shares in an electronic form. A depository is similar to a bank. A demat account holds the certificates of financial instruments like shares, bonds, government securities, mutual funds etc. It involves the process of converting physical shares into electronic form for easy access and trading. What are the charges to open ICICIdirect 3 in 1 account which includes demat, trading and savings account?

The Account opening fee varies from 0 to 975 rupees. There are multiple schemes available, for more details on the scheme, please call on 1860 123 1122.
There is no AMC (Annual Maintenance charge) for Demat Account for the 1st Year. However charge of 700 (excluding taxes) is levied from 2nd year onwards.

What if I already have a Demat account with another Depository Participant? How can I transfer shares to the ICICIdirect account?

To Transfer shares from another Depository Participant you have to submit a request letter along with a Client Master List (CML) of your ICICI Bank Demat Account to the SOURCE Depository Participant so that your investments are transferred here without any charges.
